At Heard, we understand that vulnerability is not fixed, and cannot be assumed – different moments and situations can increase (or even create) vulnerability, and risk of harm. The identities and experiences of those we work with, and who work for Heard are a key additional consideration we make when taking action to support and protect our people from harm.
We want to create conditions which consistently mitigate against harm occurring, and continuously monitor this, in light of how it can change. This applies to everyone we work with – including project participants, volunteers, staff and trustees. And extends beyond spaces in which we are delivering work, to include how we do this work together.
